Safety on every job
Every scaffold is built to TG20, tagged before anyone climbs it, and inspected and signed off in writing every seven days for as long as it stands. You get a handover pack on the day.
Clear, itemised pricing
Erection, weekly hire and dismantle are separate lines on the quote, so you can see what you are paying for and compare it with anyone else’s. The price holds for 30 days, and nothing is added unless you change the job.

Pavement and highway licence work
Where the scaffold goes over a footpath. We apply for the licence, and it is in place before we start.

Who we are
Experienced scaffolders, since 2003
We started in 2003 with one lorry, two scaffolders and a customer who came back. Twenty-three years on there are fourteen of us, and the owner still walks every job before it is priced.
We do this one trade and nothing else: no roofing, no building, no handing the erection to someone we have never met. That is why the crew on your job has usually worked together for years, and why the scaffold gets built the way it was priced.
How we work safely
Safety and compliance on every job
Four things a site manager asks for and a homeowner never thinks to. You get all four on every job, and none of them costs extra.
Public liability cover
£10 million, with the certificate sent with every quote. You don’t have to ask for it.
A handover pack
The TG20 compliance sheet, the loading limits, the tag record and a number to ring, in your hand before anyone climbs it.
Weekly inspection and a tag on the scaffold
Signed off in writing every seven days and after high wind. The tag shows the date of the last one.
Cards and training
Every scaffolder on the crew is CISRS-carded. Trainees work beside a card-holder, never on their own.

How much of the building it goes round
A gable end is not a full perimeter, and a full perimeter is not four times a gable end.
How high, and how many lifts
Two storeys and three storeys are different jobs, not the same job scaled up.
How long it stands
Hire runs from the day it goes up. A job that overruns costs more than one that doesn’t.

A back garden with no side access, a footpath licence, a live shop front — all of it adds.

Your questions answered
How long does it take to get a scaffold up?
A standard domestic job is usually half a day to a day on site once it is booked in. We are normally booking about a week ahead, and sooner for emergencies.
Do I need a licence if it goes over the pavement?
Yes — any scaffold on a public footpath or road needs a licence from the council, and it has to be in place before it goes up. We apply for it on your behalf, and the council’s fee is passed on at cost.
How long can I keep it up for?
As long as the job needs. Your quote includes the first four weeks; after that it is a flat weekly rate, printed on the quote, so you know what an overrun costs before it happens.
Is it safe to leave up while I’m away?
A scaffold is a ladder to your first floor, so the ground lift is normally boarded out or the ladder removed and the access blocked off at the end of each day. Ask for it if it matters to you.
Will it damage the drive, the path or the planting?
Base plates go on sole boards, which spread the load. Tell us on the form what is underneath and where the access is, and it gets planned round rather than discovered on the day.
Do you work with builders directly?
Yes. Pick “It’s a site” on the form and it asks for the things a site needs rather than the things a homeowner does.
